Ladies Love Country Boys
So the short story is we drove to Oregon, got far out onto an old logging trail, got the truck stuck (twice), the same tire busted twice, and didn't come back to post until several hours after we'd been gone for a full 24, with no sleep. However, it was fun! Lots of fun! I mean, the parts where the driver got mad about the various things breaking in/on his truck weren't but, overall, it was a good time. Then, on the way back the Trace Adkins song, "Ladies Love Country Boys" began playing and the other boy told me it was MY song...I'd never heard it before then, I don't think. But it seemed to suit the day pretty well.
Now, they think they've changed me into a Country Girl...but those of you in my goth group, already know I was already more country than most goth/punk people could stand anyhow and, it's for the same reason that I say that Wynnona Ryder's character in "Edward Scissorhands" was goth (because only a goth girl would be attracted to a guy who looked like that)...and it takes a whole lot of "Country" in a girl to date that many country boys. A goth city girl, even one from Nashvegas (country capital of the world), just wouldn't date guys like that...cuz they're too crazy, too dirty, not enough hair, jeans are too tight, no makeup in their bathrooms (unless a girl left it there on purpose just to force him to call her back), no hair dye, they get too drunk and too angry far too often, don't own anything vinyl and wouldn't be caught dead it in anyhow....and on and on.
But Country boys, on the other hand, always seem to be drawn to me...maybe because they know I'll be a wild ride...and they're wondering if they can hang on for the full 8!!
